Ferenc Virag – Dysons Wood House
Ferenc was photographed in the woodland area at Dysons Wood.
Ferenc has an inquisitive nature regarding wildlife and enjoys spending time
exploring this area and planting flowers here. He also enjoys watching any type
of construction work and likes to know if there are any projects that are being
planned for the future. He designed and, with support from a member of staff,
built a paved patio area near reception and also assisted in building a base
and erecting his own shed in the rear garden.
Ferenc has an Autistic Spectrum Condition and moved to Dysons
Wood House in April 1998 where he could receive the specialist provision that
he needs. During the past few years, Ferenc has developed to the point where
he now has the confidence to communicate his emotions and preferences more effectively
using Makaton signing and drawings, which has had a positive impact on his overall
quality of life.
