Alex Burton - Dysons Wood House
Alex has been photographed in the grounds at Dysons Wood House,
where he likes to spend time on his own in the gazebo.
Alex is a staunch Newcastle United supporter and has also been to see the
local team, Reading, play on several occasions. Alex also enjoys spending time
with his family, going to see various shows and places of interest. He recently
went to the West End to see the Sound of Music and is happy to experience new
activities.
Alex has an Autistic Spectrum Condition and moved to Dysons Wood House in
June 1998. Through the staff’s consistent approach, Alex has grown in
self confidence since being at Dysons Wood and is now more independent and able
to make certain decisions for himself. His personalised and structured programme
has given him more stability in his life and he has successfully gained certificates
in Makaton signing sessions, Basic First Aid and Computers.
