Involving Service Users
The aim of the centre is to facilitate the development of new skills that will enable each individual, working at their own pace, to move to a more independent and fulfilling life.
Partnership and choice are key to making new
friends and learning new skills.
A committee, elected by ballot and staffed by workers and Service
Users, meets regularly to decide on a variety of issues, from the purchasing
of equipment to organising activities and events. The committee and staff are
responsive to the needs and interests of the centre users.
